The Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA) was established as a registered not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, funded by the Cyprus government. The Agency has operated since January 2008 and follows a threefold mandate:
The Agency has further established memberships with the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) as well as the Mediterranean Investment Network, ANIMA. Memberships in these and other fora provide a platform for best practice sharing and learning in the area of FDI promotion and strategy implementation.
INVEST CYPRUS, is the brand under which CIPA takes the lead in promoting Cyprus as an attractive FDI destination.
In 2012, the World Bank ranked CIPA 5th amongst 189 agencies worldwide for offering best-practice facilitation to prospective investors.
The Agency collaborates closely with the commercial departments of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry & Tourism (ECI&T), which can also be used as a first point of contact.
Gold Magazine is the only English-language international investment, finance & professional services magazine in Cyprus, addressing the 50,000 – strong community of English-speaking executives and enterpreneurs (Russian, British and others) operating in the island.
Its readers are members of the international and local business community, high-net worth individuals, professionals who provide services, diplomats and generally every English speaking resident of, or visitor to, the island seeking reliable information on its business scene.
Its target readership comprises senior executives who are decision makers in matters of business, politics and finance. Its aim is the promotion of Cyprus as an international business and investment centre and, by extension, the development of the professional services sector.
The magazine has a monthly print run of 8,000 copies and it is available through newsagents, at the island’s international airports and by annual subscription. Additionally, Gold is hand-delivered to the Financial Times, Bloomberg Businessweek and The Economist in Cyprus.
Gold Magazine recently underwent expansion of its global reach via its online Gold News portal. The portal covers all the topics and sectors that make up the focus of the magazine with up-to-date news, views and opinions from Cyprus and abroad. Gold News is neither a replacement nor the digital version of the monthly magazine, but rather an addition to the Gold media family.
